We remodeled Elaine and Jim’s kitchen in Fair Oaks. The old linoleum floor was replaced with tile flooring for a more durable and attractive surface. Custom-made granite countertops were installed on new cabinets that we leveled uniformly, as the previous ones were at different heights. A tile backsplash was added to enhance aesthetics and add durability to the kitchen walls. Since they didn’t have kitchen ventilation before, we installed a range hood to prevent cooking smells from spreading throughout the house during cooking.
We enhanced the lighting by adding gorgeous LED strip lights near the beam, creating a warm ambiance, and recessed LED lights to prevent shadows over the work zones. Almost the entire kitchen was rewired—adding more circuits and receptacles—to meet all modern code requirements. We created additional storage space and maintained open areas per their preference, allowing them to cook while watching TV from the living room.
